I chose Down Syndrome Research Foundation (DSRF UK) because of my little niece Klaudia. She was born with Down Syndrome and although she's lovely and well looked after, I know there are children and adults who have Down Syndrome much more severely and need more support and care.
DSRF UK has a vision to undertake research and find ways of improving the quality of life for people with Down Syndrome.
There are many children, youths and adults who live with Down’s and as such, many have severe learning difficulties. Sadly, the condition often carries with it a serious decline in health including heart disease, diabetes and leukaemia as well as increased memory loss as they reach young adulthood. Premature dementia and Alzheimer’s can often set in at the heartbreakingly early age of mid to late 20’s
DSRF UK researches ways to slow down the onset of these conditions. But to do that, they need to raise funds.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate if you can.
