GEORGIE'S FUND was set up in memory of a dear little boy, George Hayhoe, who lost his battle against Neuroblastoma on 21st January 2004 aged just 8 years old. The aim of Georgie's Fund is to raise money in Georgie's name to research into a cure, and new treatments, for Neuroblastoma, a rare, and aggressive, childhood cancer that is diagnosed in around 100 children in the UK each year. The survival rate is just one in five.
Many of you know that I have been attempting to improve my fitness since falling, and fracturing a lumbar vertebra, last year. Some may think 'only 5K' but this will be a challenge for me, and an excellent incentive to 'get fit' in the name of a good cause!!
