I’m trekking across Jordan (from Amman to Petra) to raise money for the Lavender Trust, which works in association with Breast Cancer Care to raise money to further develop the unique range of services Breast Cancer Care offers to younger women with breast cancer across the UK. This charity is also supported by the Mayor of Lewisham, who I work for – people in my office have run the marathon for it and the council runs fundraising efforts several times a year, so it seemed like a good idea to do my bit for this fabulous charity that does such great work.

 

The trek involves varied terrain, varied temperatures and no showers for 5 days!!  I’ll keep you updated on my preparation and I promise to send you some photos to prove I made it…
