Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I’m a very proud mum of a healthy, lively and happy toddler called William. He has an appetite that means he demolishes any piece of food, even broccoli! But in his early days and weeks of life, I found breastfeeding extremely tough. William was struggling to regain his birth weight and I nearly gave up on the idea altogether.

The support from the Breastfeeding Network was invaluable in giving me confidence. They helped me with my technique, enabling me to feed William efficiently. I went on to give William his final breastfeed on his first birthday. At one point this was something I thought I would never achieve.

About the charity

The Breastfeeding Network (BfN) is a UK-wide, independent, voluntary organisation providing information and support for breastfeeding women and those involved in their care. It offers training for volunteers, provides telephone and face-to-face support and runs the Drugs in Breastmilk Helpline.
