Hi! Firstly, thanks for visiting my page! My name is Emily, I'm 19 and a second year Ancient, Medieval and Modern History student at Durham University. In June 2010 I, along with 2 of my other friends, am climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with the charity CoCo, a North East University charity founded by former Olympic athlete Steve Cram. CoCo funds primarily children's projects in developing countries, primarily Africa.
Check it out at the CoCo website www.coco.org.uk (apologies for lack of link)Being a student myself I've come to realize the importance of education and feel this is one of the problems that should be addressed and CoCo does this. Furthermore, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro I'm sure will be a life-changing experience for all involved and as I plan to volunteer afterwards I'm really looking to seeing just what the generous donations can do for others less fortunate.
As for me I'm a pretty standard student and although training is underway I'm sure it will still be quite the challenge- but one I'm really looking forward to!Here's a few details about donating...
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thanks again!
