5th October 2009
Hello everyone - a wee update. I'm absolutely delighted to report that I managed to scrape in under the hour - 58 minutes, 15 seconds according to my official race chip, although the clock going by the gun time registered the race as having started 59.55 minutes/seconds as I made a mad dash over the finish line.
All I can say is, that this is all down to all of you for helping to keep me going throughout the race, and I have to admit to having invested in a new pair of trainers for the event! Thank you everyone for your support, kind words and generosity. I really appreciate it. Em x
Hello everyone. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Well, this is third time lucky and I'm hoping that I might just be able to squeeze in under the hour this year ...... or maybe not! Training started a bit late, but lots of effort is going in, in preparation for the 10k on Sunday 4th October 2009.
Now I had hoped for most of the family this year, in particular all the 'bruvs' were going to join me out there. Looks like we'll have to re-arrange for Oct 2010!.
In the meantime, if anyone feels like supporting a 'good cause' not sure if that's my effort to get around the River Ness or the wonderful charity I'm raising funds for, both I suppose, it would be more than gratefully received. It helps you see to motivate me and stops me from thinking 'why, oh why am I doing this?' when I'm only half way around the Ness!
So, have a thought for me and all the others out there on Sunday 4th and if you feel like sponsoring me, well why not??. And if you feel motivated to join me next year..... even better...
Thanks alot anyway for reading my page.
