Story
Hi Everyone,
First of all thanks for visiting my sponsorship page for the 2009 London Run to the Beat half marathon (27th September.) I am running in aid of the National Eczema Society which as many of you know is a charity close to my heart and i am often to be found at various information and fund raising events throughout the year.
Eczema affects 6 million children and adults in the UK every year, 500,000 of which will be severe. The National Eczema Society is the only organisation in the UK devoted to improving the quality of life for people with eczema and their carers - and depends entirely upon voluntary income for its work. More and more people each year are using the services the Society provides and without sponsorship and donations things like the free information events and the Freephone helpline would not be possible. The helpline deals with over 20,000 enquiries a year so you can see this is not a small problem!
The Society also funds research fellowships to find causes and better treatments for eczema. We hope that the next generation doesn’t have to go through what we’ve experienced.
Eczema can be a life sentence - with no known cure for the condition. Please help us ensure that all sufferers can be provided with the help, advice and reassurance that they desperately need both now and in the future.
So please sponsor me. I'd also love you to come and cheer me on the day! Emma xx

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: National Eczema Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor now!
