Hiya, thankyou for visiting my Donation Page! I, along with several others will be doing something VERY out of the ordinary (for us :0) all in aid of raising funds for research into a fatal disease that has affected one of us very personally.
Little Cameron was only 19months when he lost his battle to HLH, a rare blood disorder. The only cure is a Bone Marrow Transplant and despite recieving cells from his 5yr old brother, Cameron sadley passed away. He was born healthy and was a happy 'normal' toddler untill at 15 months he was diagnosed. This was a devastating blow to his family who were completley in the dark about the disorder and felt completley isolated due to lack of available information. This is also something the charity are fighting hard to put right.
I'm going to climb Mount Snowdon in an effort to help bring an end to the suffering and welcome a cure.
I hope that none of those reading this will ever have to experience the pain and suffering felt by families affected by Histiocytosis, however please take a moment to imagine if it did... wouldnt you move Heaven and Earth for the chance to recieve a cure and then put the whole affair behind you?? Right now this just isn't possible, but with your help one day soon it will be!
Please donate as much as you feel you are able. These are hard times for everyone but even just £1 can make a difference. Thankyou for your time and support in this very worthy cause!
Watch this space for Pictures and tales of the climb which will take place on the 27th September 2009!!!
Wish us Luck!!! Most will need it as they have a fear of heights!!! :0)
Thankyou
Em x
