Just over a year ago I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus crossed over with Rheumatoid Arthritis. 

Both of which are autoimmune diseases, where you have too many white blood cells and they pretty much go crazy and start attacking your own body, e.g. skin, organs, muscles, joints and cartilage, which ends up deriving you of energy and makes it so difficult to do almost anything. 

So this walk, even though it's a small 4 miles, will be a strenuous task for us with lupus, but hopefully with the support of others we'll get through it.

I hope to be able to help Lupus UK raise money as a means to eliminate the illness, to help find a cure, or to even find better medication to stop the diseases from spreading, of any of you, my friends, family, acquaintances or even people who don't know me could help me and all other sufferers raise money in awareness of this illness I know we will all be grateful :).
