Robbie and I are completing a 5 mile walk around Strathclyde Park on Saturday 24th October. This is to raise money for Rachel Collie who is a pupil in my class. Rachel is five and she has Cerebal Palsy. She attends Bobath which is a Children's Therapy Centre. This is a specialised Cerebal Palsy centre which helps children to develop everyday life skills in movement and communication. Bobath is a charity and relies on donations to keep its therapy sessions running.
Any donation would be gratefully received. They will go towards helping an extremely worthwhile charity which hugely benefits a fanastic wee girl.
Thank you in advance for your donation.

More information on the charity and walk is below.
Every six hours a child is born who will be diagnosed with Cerebal Palsy - a permanent, incurable disorder affecting posture and movement. Cerebal Palsy is the name given to a group of conditions that occur before, during birth or in the first two years of life. The damage affects both the messages being received by and sent from the brain and the way in which the brain interprets the information it receives.
The Bobath approach was developed by Dr Karel Bobath and Mrs Berta Bobath in the 1950s. The Bobath concept involves a trans-disciplinary approach involving occupational therapy, physiotherapy and speech and language therapy. Bobath therapy combines these disciplines to give each child the skills to explore the world, communicate their needs and participate as much as possible, not just in therapy sessions, but in all aspects of their lives.
More than 600 children have attended Bobath Scotland with no charges passed on to families. Funding shortages restrict Bobath's ability to see children more frequently.
Rachel Collie is 5 years old and attends Bobath Children's Therapy Centre, Scotland who help children suffering from Cerebal Palsy. Last year, her family and a group of their friends organised a sponsored walk at Strathclyde Park and managed to raise over £5000.
This year, Rachel and her twin sister Louise will be taking part in the walk along with their family and friends. They are planning the same route - 5 miles around Strathclyde Park on Saturday 24th October.
