I am a Paramedic for South East Coast Ambulance Service, working out of Brighton. In my job I come across alot of homeless and vulnerable people of all ages.  As an ambulance service we are limited in assistance /services we can provide to help these people if they are not medically unfit. This can be quite frustrating and even upsetting at times.

I love running and like to keep motivated. Running for BHT will make me feel like I am able to help these people more.

I have been in the Ambulance service for 16 years now. A qualified paramedic for 10 of those years. I have always been active, into running, football and netball whilst I was at school. I used to play football for Lewes MCA, and was in the Territorial Army for 3 years.

I have recently got back into running, and it's one of the few activities I can do in my own time. This is because of shift work and having two young children! I have also recently joined a very good and motivating fitness group, and taken part in the 2013 Warrior Run.

Brighton Housing Trust works on whole in Brighton and Hove, Eastbourne and Hastings. BHT is combating homlessness, creating oppurtunities, promoting change.

They are working on a number of housing, catering, mental health and detox projects. Also are passionate at training their staff to a high standard.

All money raised will go to local men and women who are homeless, insecurely housed and vulnerable.
