Wow, we did it! We have certainly earned every single penny of our sponsorship and have returned to the UK extremely tired, but safe and sound and a little bit more toned than before! China was wonderful and we amazed ourselves with our fitness levels. We both did every single bit of the trek, including: 'slide-walking' over ice; clambering over really old and crumbly parts of the Wall; rock climbing in places!; zip-wiring over a lake; tabogganing; and completing the stairway to heaven. We have treked in high winds, sunshine, rain and snow and throughout the trek wore full make up as promised! It certainly has been a challenge, but a rewarding one at that. We are over the moon that we have reached our target, but are still happily taking any last minute sponsorship. Breast cancer is a nasty disease that can be beaten. Breast Cancer Campaign have done so much already to fund better treatments against breast cancer and they are one step closer every day to finding that cure. Help them get there and help us to do our bit to out more obstacles in the way of this horrible disease. It's such a great cause, Em & Laura xxxx Original text: We've set ouselves a big challenge ... to raise as much cash as we can for Breast Cancer Campaign in one year. Why ... Well we're bored now Emma's wedding's out the way and we've decided to plan something else BIG! This seemed perfect. We decided to do this as Emma was told her breast cancer had come back and spread to her spine on returning from honeymoon aged 29. We refuse to take this re-diagnosis lying down. We intend to raise loads of money for research into better treatments for breast cancer and the quest for a cure. We also intend to have a lot of fun in the process... So far, we've had a charity quiz at Emma & Dave's local British Legion; we've planned another charity quiz in Newcastle; we're planning an exclusive Ball in November (for your ticket visit www.emmaandlauraschallenge.org.uk); and we're walking the Great Wall of China next March. China's the big challenge - nine days of trecking and for those of you who know us, it's gonna be a big challenge! So please dig deep.
