Ethan underwent a heart operation that was completely successful. One week later, his condition deteriorated suddenly and in order for the specialists to find out what was happening it was decided to take him to theatre and undergo an invasive procedure - a cardiac catheter.
During this procedure, Ethan had a pulmonary crisis followed by a cardiac arrest from which he did not recover.
The family of Ethan are now trying to raise funds for the Children’s Hospital to purchase a non-invasive cardiac output monitor and other cardiac equipment, allowing them to use it on all children who might be suffering from pulmonary hypertension or any other cardiac conditions.
We would be grateful for any donations to Ethan’s cause and to have the knowledge that we will be helping other cardiac children from across the UK.
