Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am leaving to climb Kilimanjaro on Boxing Day. This is going to be a huge challenge and I am determined to make it to the top. I have paid for the trip myself and all the money donated is going to go direct to The Louise Hamilton Trust, so please give generously.
Here is my connection to this charity.
35 years ago my friend Roberta and I opened a shop in Great Yarmouth called Grandma's Wardrobe. Roberta's daughter was Louise Hamilton and as a little girl she was a regular visitor to the shop, and I watched her grow into a beautiful young woman. Sadly Louise died of breast cancer aged only 28. Roberta was inspired by Louise's experience of a supportive care and information centre in Bristol, and started fund raising for a similar centre in Great Yarmouth. The Louise Hamilton Centre opened in 2013, and now the next challenge is on to raise £3 million for a 10 bed hospice alongside the Centre. I would love to help to make this happen and I am so grateful for your sponsorship.
