Eva Reichardt (myself) and Poppy McLaughlin have recently graduated in MSc Forensic Toxicology at Bournemouth University and were feeling like taking on another challenge. So, we are planning to walk the enitre length of Hadrian's Wall and the Antonine Wall within 41.5 hours, including the 2 hour drive between walls. This is a total distance of 112.5 miles (180km).
We are doing the walk on the 11th and 12th of September!!
As we cannot walk the exact course of the Walls we are walking the equivalent length along nearby paths. We are starting at Segedunum in Newcastle to Beau near Carlisle which is 118 km. Following the 2 hour drive we will walk from Old Kilpatrick to Bridgeness just east of Falkirk which is 63 km.
We are doing so to raise money for the victim support charity. The victim support charity is an independent charity for victims and witnesses of crime. Each year Victim Support help millions of people that have been affected. All help and advice from Victim Support is free and confidential even though they work closely with several parts of the criminal justice system such as the police.
We truely admire the work done by Victim Support. The charity is 100% relying on sponsors and volunteers. By organising this little adventure we would like to help.
So please, dig deep and donate now to help!
Every little bit can make a difference!
