Story

Market Makers charitable project for 2011 is to build a school in Africa. The money to do this is being raised by a combination of staff donations, corporate donations, and events such as this....

This is our final event of the year! A Guinness World Record Attempt!

On the 17th December, a 12 man team from Market Makers will be attempting to climb the height of Everest in one day (29,000 ft!) on an indoor climbing wall. This has never been done in 24 hours, and is being officially timed for the Guinness book of world records. The event is taking place at Calshot indoor climbing centre.

100% of money donated on this page will go straight to the charity in Africa, so please dig deep!

The school is being built in an English speaking district of Western Cameroon, called Nseh Village. In fact the building work not only includes a 3 classroom school, but also the redevelopment of a nursery and a health centre. By focusing all this development on one village, it will transform hundreds of children's lives for generations to come.

Many thanks for your support.
