We are undertaking a massive challenge to undertake a gruelling trek to everest base camp to raise funds for Tak Tent Cancer support Scotland.
The trek will commence on 17th Nov 2011 and will take a total of 18 days where will climb to 18,000ft and cover a total distance of 120km.
Why Everest Base Camp and Why Cancer support Scotland Tak Tent?
Well Cancer affects us all. We all know someone close to us who has been diagnosed or affected by cancer. Tak Tent are based at Gartnavel in Glasgow and help cancer patients by providing emotional and other forms of care to cancer patients and their families. Although not as well known as other Cancer charities, Tak Tent do invaluable work and we feel our challenge will help raise awareness and much needed funds for this amazing charity.
2011 is going to be a massive year for us in terms of fundraising challenges and will commence with our mammoth 8 Million Metre row, ( www.8millionmetre.com) for monre info. This will be followed by further challenges including the West Highland Way and charity race nights all to raise funds for Tak Tent.
