Thanks for taking the time to visit the Exspect JustGiving page.
For the second year running, the team got together to raise money – this time for a local charity – the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice Trust. Last year the ‘Exspect Team’ raised over £3,000 in sponsorship money for Hope House Hospice, by undertaking a gruelling 15 mile walk around Ambleside and the surrounding area of the .
Commencing this year’s walk near the Lake District town of Keswick on Derwentwater, we were faced with an even bigger challenge since the route was chosen by Tracy Johnson, an experienced walker, who really put us through our paces by leading us on a 12 mile hike, half of which was uphill! The weather was very kind to us and although the hill-climb was gruelling, the views at the summit were well worth the pain!Neil Meredith, Exspect’s Commercial Director said of his team 'I am very proud to have such a great team at Exspect. Everyone encouraged each other throughout the walk and the team spirit was fantastic. I would like to say a big thank you to all our sponsors for helping us to exceed our target for this great local charity'.
This year we decided to support a lesser known local charity, The Donna Louise Children’s Hospice Trust, which provides respite and end-of-life care for children all over Staffordshire and between the ages of 0 and 19 with life-threatening conditions and provides support for the whole family at the hospice and in their own home.
