Football Marathon · 3 June 2005

TackleAfrica uses the power and popularity of football to deliver HIV and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) information and services to young people on football pitches across the continent

Story

Thank you for your interest in the Football Marathon!

Between 70 and 80 competitors will be playing football for 12 hours on Clapham Common on Saturday 6th August from 8.30am until 8.30pm. That's nearly 1,000 hours of football for charity!

If the Football Marathon can raise £7,200, Tackle Africa will be able to fund one of it's local partners in Africa to run an HIV/AIDS education programme aimed at young men and women. If we can double this, we'll fund an HIV Sport and Education Centre, and if we can raise £24k, Tackle Africa can run a 2 year youth football programme in Africa.

Donating online is fast, simple and secure and allows you to Gift Aid your donation, making it worth 28% more to Tackle Africa.

So please sponsor us now, and come and lend your support on the day! Please mention the name of the player you are sponsoring in the comments section below. Many thanks for your support.
