Story
Hi everyone,
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
As part of our local sports and leisure committee run by FPC (Future Pension Centre) HASSRA, we regularly organise social events and charity events.
This year we will be attempting our biggest challenge to date by completing a cycling mission for charity. Our chosen charity is the Bobby Robson Foundation. Linking nicely with the football theme, our challenge will see us setting off from St James's park (Newcastle United football stadium) on the 19th of May 2012 and finishing on 24th May 2012 at the Emirates (Arsenal FC's stadium, London).
The cycling route is as follows:
St James’ Park - Stadium of Light
Stadium of Light - Ewood Park
Ewood Park - Reebok Stadium
Reebok Stadium - DW Stadium
DW Stadium - Anfield
Anfield - Goodison Park
Goodison Park - Eastlands
Eastlands - Old Trafford
Old Trafford - Britannia Stadium
Britannia Stadium - Molineux
Molineux - The Hawthorns
The Hawthorns - Villa Park
Villa Park - Wembley Stadium
Wembley Stadium - Loftus Road
Loftus Road - Craven Cottage
Craven Cottage - Stamford Bridge
Stamford Bridge - White Hart Lane
White Hart Lane - Emirates Stadium
We estimate that it will be cycling over 460 miles in 6 days.
Any donation however big or small will be greatly appreciated and will certainly help keep our motivation; not only through our training, but during the week of the challenge which will no doubt have some great highs and some not so welcome lows. The Bobby Robson Foundation is a charity close to many peoples hearts so lets raise as much money as we can.
This page will be updated as and when we can get more information, and throughout our training, so watch this space.......
Cheers!
Phil, Matt and Drew
