Hi guys!
Firstly thankyou for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As many of you are aware i have made the slightly crazy decision to tie on a pair of trainers and run the Bath half Marathon on Sunday 7th March 2010! I am inspired by a fantastic charity, The Jessie May Trust, of whom i hope to raise £200 in completing the 13.2 miles around Bath.
The Jessie May Trust are the only organisation in the Bristol area that provide specialist Nurses and Nursery Nurses able to provide regular respite care for terminally ill children in the comfort of their own homes. The charity provide an overwhelming amount of practical and emotional support to enable families to make the very best of the precious time they have together.
By supporting me in the half marathon your money will help to ensure that The Jessie May Trust service is made available throughout the community to all local families who have a child with a life limiting illness. Below are just a few things you money could go towards:
£5 could buy a colourful book to read a child a bedtime story.
£65 could buy a bag of specially adapted toys for the nurses to take on a visit.
£750 could fund four desperately needed respite visits for a family.
£1,250 could fund a group respite session at a specialist play centre.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please, please show your support and donate today, i know there are families who are desperately in need of more support from The Jessie May Trust - and they need our help to do it. Your support really will make a difference.
Thankyou.
