Hello to all you lovely people!
Welcome to my web page which has been created by my own fair hand (how technologically advanced am I?) to advertise my taking part in the pain inducing wonder that is the Great North Run, on the 20 September 2009!
Now, I totally appreciate that many of you will read these sponsorship pages on a regular basis and probably for much more hard-core challenges than my own, however I hope to convince you to sponsor me, so please keep reading!
One very good reason to sponsor me it to support Jessie’s fund. This is an amazing charity which works tirelessly to bring music therapy into children’s hospices and schools for children with profound disabilities. In doing this Jessie’s fund provides children (who often have no means of communicating) the opportunity to express themselves and connect with those around them. This is incredibly important for the child, their family and carers, especially when a child's life is limited by illness. In summary Jessie’s fund is a Fantastic charity!
The second reason to sponsor me is the opportunity to place a condition on your cash! Some people who shall remain nameless (Keith) have suggested that sponsorship in its present form is merely a donation and too easy. So, for those of you who also reside in this camp I am willing for you to place conditions around your sponsorship money as you see fit (within reason please). However, I will not wear a chicken costume, run in bare feet or complete the race before an elite athlete! For anyone wanting to put a time condition on their cash I’m hoping to complete the race in between 2hr 15 and 2hr 30, 2 hr 10 is a pipe dream of mine.....but, it's possible that if the right amount of cash came through it could inspire me to endure the pain of a ten minute mile.
A BIG thanks to those of you who have already kindly donated money to the cause and thank you in advance to anyone who is presently looking for their wallet........taking out their credit card.....looking at their account details – t’was just a little prompt for anyone who was struggling!
