Once again, after the lockdown layoffs of the past couple of years, I am undertaking the annual cycle ride on behalf of my friend Paula's Braveheart charity. Set up some years ago, the charity is in memory of her Dad who lost out to Alzheimer's at far too young an age.    We will cycle 64 miles on a loop taking in Crosby and Southport.  This is not an event for top athletes, but is for those who care enough to challenge themselves - even if they have never set foot on pedal before.
