It’s about raising money to help Homeless International in their quest to transform slum communities and support them to work together to secure land, build homes, access safe water and sanitation, and negotiate with governments – ensuring that they have a voice that gets heard.”</span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: &quot;Frutiger LT 45 Light&quot;;"><span style="font-size: small;">The first part of the trip will be spent supporting local people and working on a community building project, supported by Homeless International’s partner organisation, Action Challenge. Those taking part in the challenge will spend time with the community learning about how they are working together to overcome challenges in housing, water, and basic sanitation.</span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: &quot;Frutiger LT 45 Light&quot;;"><span style="font-size: small;">The challenge will continue with a trek which will take in the sights of the Ugab River and the Brandberg, Namibia’s highest mountain. The trekkers will experience a land of extremes from the parched desert to the fascinating geology and dramatic landscapes of the mountainous Brandberg Nature Reserve.</span></span></p>

She has pledged to raise £3,000 in sponsorship, which will go directly towards supporting Homeless International’s projects in developing countries. First Wessex is supporting the fundraising, but we need your support to help achieve this target and make a difference to the lives of people living in slums.</span></span></p>
