Story
On 27th May 2012, my lovely mum passed away after a long and bravely fought battle with cancer. Caring for mum at home was difficult and was only made easier by the endless support from Treetops Hospice.
Treetops Hospice provides respite and palliative care for adults with life limiting illness. Over many nights, nurses travelled across Derbyshire to help provide end of life care for my mum in her own home.
The support didn't end there. Since then, the charity has also helped our family through the months following Mum's passing and continue to do so.
As a registered charity, all the services are provided free of charge. It costs £2million to run the hospice each year; the majority of which needs to be raised through charitable donations and fundraising events.
For me, there is nothing better than donating to a charity that shows you exactly where your hard-earned cash goes to. Every pound really makes a difference. So please, donate if you can, large or small, it is all greatly appreciated.
In memory of my beautiful mum, Sue Fox.
