My story

Thanks for visiting the Friends of Mary Seacole JustGiving page. This has been set up by the Mary Seacole Memorial Statue Appeal in response to the many individuals and organisations who wish to a) make a regular annual donation and b) receive updates about the progress of the Appeal, including an e-newsletter. To become a Friend we ask that you  donate a minimum of £20 per year. When you tick for GiftAid it will bring that up to £25!!  The Appeal has already raised over £100,000 but still needs just under £400,000.  On this page we would like our Friends to aim for an initial target of £1,000 [i.e. just 50 people becoming a Friend!] and once this figure is reached we will then set a higher target! Important note: in order for us to keep in touch with you, and send a reminder to renew your subscription in a years time, you must PLEASE tick the Opt In box so that we have your contact details, thanks!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the Mary Seacole Memorial Statue Appeal and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - they raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.  So please dig deep and donate now and thank you for joining the Friends of Mary Seacole!
