Incredibly 1 in 10 women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime

Most of us sadly know someone who has or is fighting to beat breast cancer. Hopefully with research like that of Genesis we will be able to understand and prevent breast cancer and reduce the risk of it occuring in the future.

More women are now being diagnosed with breast cancer in their 30's and incredibly 20's. One of our runners Clare McCall was, two years ago, diagnosed when she was 36 years old. At the time she was also 31 weeks pregnant. Clare was lucky and went on to make a full recovery and give birth to a healthy baby boy.
