Hello everyone!
On Sunday the 13th of September I am going to take part in a 100 mile ride around South Warwickshire and the Cotswolds straddling Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire.
http://www.shakespeare100.org.uk/
According to the website I am going to go through an undulating first third or so, followed by some challenging Cotswold climbs and, thankfully, to finish the ride off, a flat finish! All in all that means that I am going to do a 1720m of total climbing! That's more than any mountain in the whole of the UK. For the local folk that don't understand proper measurements ;-) 1720m equates to around 5600 feet!!! Not too shaby!
Seeing as I have never ridden that distance before and that the course profile incorporates more hills that I have ever done in my whole live this is a massive challenge for me - but without a shadow of a doubt nothing compared to the challenge of having to go through cancer treatment so please donate as much as possible and don't forget GiftAid if you are still giving money to the taxman!!!
P.S: The picture on the left is of the bike that I will use for this challenge!
