My story

Yes. yes yes yes yes yes... I am running the marathon. Never better!

...This may come as a shock to some of you who knew me at school and saw me falling over when I ran the 1500 metres at sports day. However I have good reasons and these reasons are threefold...

1) It's just an amazing thing to do and I love running

2) The charity - Action for Southern Africa - is a charity that focuses on aims very close to my heart. I hope to work in this region in the future and ACTSA focuses on bringing dignity, power, development, support and democracy to the south of Africa. It isn't forceful or a short term solution; it really helps to bring international focus to the area and provides support. All in all it's just wonderful and I really want to help this frankly amazing cause.

3) It is my dearest wish to prove all my old sport teachers wrong about the fact that I am some sort of complete sporting deficient. I am Gabriella Wass. I cannot catch. At all. I cannot throw. I cannot run fast (weenie legs). I get quite frightened when people kick things at me. I have worryingly poor balance. But I am stubborn!!!! And that means I don't give up. And that's where marathons come in handy....

Sooo....Thank you so much for coming to donate! Anything - literally even a quid - is so hugely appreciated and gets me closer to making a grand, which would be truely amazing. Of course if you fancy giving more than that it'd be stupendous and I'd give you a really big cuddle..
