About 3 years ago I had a random meeting in the pub with one of the Directors of Magic Bus, India. My good friend Steve and I ended up sharing a table with her and a friend and we all got chatting and had a random, fun night out together. Along the course of the evening and a few drinks down the line I had somehow agreed to running the Bombay half marathon for her charity. The next morning with an awful hangover the idea didn't seem so appealing. Especially as I only had a month to train for it! So I never ran the Bombay half marathon and to this day have felt guilty about back tracking on my drunken promise. When I decided to run the Great North Run this year I thought it would be a great opportunity to make amends and raise money for this worthwhile charity.
So I would really appreciate any donations to help make the pain of running all the more bearable. I am also hoping to visit the Magic Bus centre in Bombay on a trip to India next month. It will be fantastic to meet the kids who's lives will be helped by this charity.
cheers
