I hope to enjoy the walk across Surrey, and gain a worthwhile experience while raising funds for an alternative training and education project.

I have recently started a running programme, in the hope of running the London Marathon next year. I have never been into running but have always enjoyed walking. When I came across the advert for the Steps across Surrey in the Big Issue, I thought that it would be a perfect way to flex my fund raising muscles, find out how it feels to walk 26 miles, to help a good cause and have an enjoyable day out.

On a more personal note, I believe this is a positive step forward for me into a new chapter of my life.
