Story
A few months ago, my 29 year old cousin was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Obviously, this was a shock for the whole family and our prayers are constantly preoccupied with the hope, she wins her battle against the disease.
She is currently undergoing Chemotherapy and the courage she has shown throughout her treatment, has spurred me into raising more awareness about Breast Cancer, particularly in younger women.
Danny and I will be embarking on a 350 mile Coast to Coast cycle, nothing compared to the challenges faced by those fighting cancer every day. I hope that any contribution we make, large or small will raise much needed funds for Breast Cancer Care and more importantly, a better understanding of this form of cancer.
The route we will be taking involves leaving Comber on August 20th before heading North to Ballycastle. Following an overnight stay, we shall be undertaking the longest leg of the journey and going to Omagh. Another overnight stay will follow before making the relatively short jaunt across the border into Donegal and onto Ballyshannon. Then there is the small matter of coming back across Northern Ireland before arriving home in Comber. If anyone wants to join us at any stage, you are all more than welcome!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving and won't be forwarded on to those unwanted third parties. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Lastly, I'd urge you to dig deep and donate now. Be sure to tell all your family and friends as well, any money received is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Gary and Danny
