Hi Everyone,

As most of you know my best friend Joanna has been battling breast cancer for the last 5 years. When she was first diagnosed with cancer I promised her that if she got through chemotherapy I would do the Marathon so as to endure just a little of the pain and discomfort she has had to go through. Joanna has endured around 15 different types of chemotherapy, numerous operations and radiotherapy however unfortunately none of the treatment has cured her. It is now time for me to fulfil my promise to her. For those of you who know me the Marathon is no easy challenge, I hate running for starters, in fact I hate exercise so every training session will be a battle. Not a patch on what Joanna has to endure on a daily basis. Her cancer is now terminal and untreatable however her determination knows no boundaries and on a daily basis continues to me a massive inspiration to me and those around her and I know the inspiration she gives me will last and impact on the rest of my life. She is the bravest girl I know. Please give as generously as you can for this great charity. Love you always Jo xxx
