"Thankyou for sponsoring our London to Paris bike ride.  Geoff and I met in hospital 6 years ago - we both had Leukaemia. While Geoff was able to have a dangerous but potentially life-saving bone marrow transplant, I had no suitable match and was given only 3 years to live. Luckily though, I got onto a trial for a new drug which has been so successful I am now in high-level remission.

Prompted by Professor Craddock, who treated us both, we are now trying to help finance the setting up of a nationwide network of drugs trials centres together with Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, to get  new drugs into blood cancer patients quicker than has been possible before. This will save thousands of peoples lives over the coming years.

Your generosity will help achieve this tremendous goal even more quickly."
