Thankyou for visiting my Jamboree fundraising page.
My name is Georgia Denham. I am 13 years old and have been going to scouts for 2 years. Since I joined in 2008, I have had more fun and made more friends in Scouting, than I have in any other organisation. I have found a wonderful atmosphere in scouting that I haven't found anywhere else. Earlier this year I was selected as one of the 4'000 scouts that will represent the United Kingdom at the 22nd World Scout Jamboree 2011 in Sweden. In order of me to get to the Jamboree I will need to raise £2'000 to cover the cost of this event. The Jamboree is a great way for young people to meet others from all over the World and form life long friendships that will in turn make a better more peaceful future for everyone. More than, 40'000 scouts from over 180 countries will be attending the next Jamboree in Rinkaby, Sweden. Your kind donations are not only helping me attend the Jamboree, it's helping scouts from Sierra Leone, Papua New Guinea and Armenia go aswell! Every Scout gets just one chance to go. I have been lucky enough to be given this fantastic oppurtunity.
So far, my mum has very kindly said she will swim twice across lake windermere ( 2 miles) to raise money and I'm planning an 100 mile bike ride round the peak district for this summer.
Please donate to support me and others to attend the Jamboree. Thankyou x
