We are Versus Arthritis to defy the pain & isolation of arthritis

Story

As you will probably know, our beautiful sister Harriet has suffered from Rheumatoid Arthritis for most of her life.

While this condition is incredibly painful, can be debilitating and life changing, Harriet never complains and is amazing in how she copes on a day to day basis. Last year she qualified as a doctor which is bloody brilliant. However, her bad days can be pretty bad- affecting her work and lifestyle which is horrible to see.

Quite frankly, the Edwards family are sick of 'Arthur' as we have affectionly called this horrible condition, and want him gone. That is why on 7th Sept Lydia will run 13 miles in the cold North to help raise some money :-). This will be her first half marathon which is definitely something to celebrate!!

In addition , and because I have lost my mind, I will be running the Plusnet Yorkshire Marathon on 12th October. A FULL 26 MILES!!! Having never run a full marathon before it's safe to say I'm bricking it! However, I am determined to get round, and in a reasonable time too.

Any donations to this great charity, which could one day fund a cure for our fab sis would be hugely appreciated.

THANK YOU

G & L xxx
