I am running to raise funds for the Isle of Wight food bank , I chose this charity because they are supporting more and more families who are unable to afford the most simple things such as food for their children. 

In the past I have focused on supporting health related charities, being a Nurse this is something very close to my heart but I have recently gained knowledge of how many families are struggling every day on the island it's heartbreaking to think that they are living on just £6.00 a week to feed their children. Being a parent myself I can't imagine how it must feel not being able fulfil my childrens most basic needs such as giving them enough food. 

These children are not getting the right diet they need to grow and develop into healthy adults. Funds donated to the food bank allows them to distribute food to these families.

If you have £6.00 or more to spare you could be giving an island family the support they need so their child will not  be going to school hungry.
