As you probably already know I've been training like crazy recently and am raising money for the African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust (the ACLT).
I have already started by completing the Adidas Womens 5k Challenge, which I did on 6 September 2009 in 24 minutes and 11 seconds, and my first half marathon, at the Run to the Beat event on 27 September 2009 in 2 hours and 2 minutes.
To finish I ran against thousands of other runners across the globe on Saturday 24 October 2009 in the Nike Human Race 10k in just under 51 minutes. (For those who have seen my initial email for sponsorship, the ACLT run has been postponed until 2010, but hopefully I will be participating in that as well).
I would really appreciate it if you could sponsor me, no matter how big or small the donation. The ACLT is such a fantastic cause and organisation, and thanks to the charity, a number of black and mixed race patients who need a bone marrow or stem cell transplants are actually getting them and going on to lead healthy lives.
To make life easier I thought I'd better catch up with the technology and set up a Just Giving page. Any donations would relate to me completing all three races. Just Giving is a really easy and efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
