Hello, I hope you are here to help me raise some cash for SADS UK. 

A while back a close relative’s heart stopped while she was pregnant. Without emergency defibrillation by the ambulance crew both her and her unborn son would have died. Unknown to her she had a heart arrhythmia which can kill otherwise fit young people without warning, hence the name: Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome. My relative and her son were lucky, the ambulance arrived quickly, but they can't get to everyone in time.

SADS UK are fundraising to buy Automated External Defibrillators for schools, workplaces and gyms so that emergency aid can be given in the vital minutes before an ambulance can arrive. They also donate 24-hour heart monitors to GPs surgeries to help detect dangerous arrhythmias before they kill. 

I am doing my bit by entering the Sheffield Big Fun Run on September 12. Yes I know it’s only 5km, but for me that’s quite far enough. Anything that you can give to help will be gratefully accepted, either through this website or to me in person.
