Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
On the 28th of February Darren, Karen, John, Simon, Danni and James will be taking on 10k of challenging terrain, man-made and natural obstacles and a whole lot of mud to raise money for the British Lung Foundation in memory of Darren's mum, Gita.
Gita sadly died of lung disease in August 2014. Despite her illness, she lived life to the full and didn't let anything get in her way. Even climbing Snowdon was no problem with the help of her oxygen cylinders! Gita's attitude will be our inspiration as we make our way round the course so please donate whatever you can to help support the British Lung Foundation and their work to help more people like Gita.
- £10 will cover the cost of answering one call to the BLF helpline from someone who desperately needs advice and information.
- £11 could pay for a BLF nurse to visit a patient for half an hour.
- £50 will cover the cost of testing and finding one of the missing millions of people with undiagnosed COPD.
- £150 could pay for a BLF nurse to test people's lungs at a lung testing event for one day.
- £1000 (our target amount!) will help pay for a lung testing machine and equipment.
