<p class="MsoNormal" style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-size: 11.0pt; line-height: 150%;">Who on earth would elect to drive an Ambulance to Mongolia for their honeymoon?<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>A very good question…</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 150%;">We’ve never been a couple to sit back and relax and have spent much of our time together exploring weird and wonderful places.</span></span><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 150%;"> </span><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 150%;">Mongolia has a population of at 3 million, covering an area equal to Western Europe in one of the harshest inhabited landscapes on earth, where temperatures can fall over 40</span></span><sup style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 150%;">o</sup><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 150%;">C from day to night, and there are few roads or infrastructure outside of the primary cities.</span></span><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 150%;"> </span><span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 150%;">This poses a huge challenge for healthcare provision; basic emergency care is hampered by the lack of suitable vehicles, both capable of coping with the difficult terrain, and being kitted out with the necessary equipment.</span></span><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 150%;"> </span><span><span style="color: #292929; font-size: medium;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 150%;">We’ve joined up with Go Help, an unconventional adventure charity who are helping to provide and support Mongolia’s first ambulance service (</span></span><a style="color: #292929; font-size: 11pt; line-height: 150%;" href="http://www.mongolia.charityrallies.org/">www.mongolia.charityrallies.org</a><span style="color: #292929; font-size: medium;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 150%;">), and aim to drive an ambulance to Mongolia for donation to a hospital, where it will provide an invaluable service. All donations to Go Help through our page will go towards supporting the charity in this </span></span><span style="color: #292929;"><span style="line-height: 22px;">endeavour and ensuring an on-going support and servicing for these vehicles once in Mongolia.</span></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">We also have some fantastic support from many friends for this challenge; Merryl, along with Ros Shaw, Lucy Tallents and Steve Malton are running a 1/2 marathon on 1st May. And Dave Sheasby and Alex Darling are planning several exciting events in the run-up to our leaving...</p>
