My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Much to my surprise I found myself in the Oxford Heart Centre 2 years ago to have a new aortic valve. Hugely impressed by the care in the new wards but there are constraints elswhere in the hospital that you can help remedy. This particularly true on the echocardiography front - vital for fast diagnosis and accurate surgical intervention. A new site has been identified in the hospital but £750,000 is needed to get in the latest 3-D kit - and this is outside the current straitened NHS budget.
My plan is to abseil down the 100 feet from the top of the building and I'd love your support. My target is £1000.
Don't want to scare you but 1 person in 4 goes through Echocardiography during their lifetime... If it were you or one of your nearest and dearest you'd appreciate the best kit too.

Yesterlday was the day! Down safely - sethe big grin in the photo. A rain shower went over just before we went down but the view from the top of the Hospital was stunning. I don't yet know how much the event raised for the Heartfelt Appeal - but thank you all for your support.
