My story

 
My lovely bouncy daughter has Idiopathic Adolescent Scoliosis (AIS) which is curvature of the spine. There is currently no known cure and in most case the only treatment is spinal surgery.

Big Thanks to everyone that sponsored me in my first race for Scoliosis Association UK (SAUK).

I am now running in the 2010 London Marathon to raise money for the British Scoliosis Research Foundation. The BSRF is the only charity that exists solely to promote research into the cause and treatment of scoliosis.
50% of the Money raised is also going to the SAUK which provides information and support for people with Scoliosis.

Okay, so am I crazy? Maybe! I started running in June, and these are my races so far:

10 Jul 2009. TCC 5k   - 0:30:10
16 Aug 2009. Reepham 10k     -  1:00:48

11 Oct 2009 Half-Marathon   - 1:59:29
25 Apr 2010 London Marathon - 4:00:00 (target)
