My story
Jane Tomlinson 10th Anniversary Challenge
In April this year, Greg Mulholland MP is joining Mike & Rebecca Tomlinson to attempt the Jane Tomlinson Appeal 10 Anniversary Challenge.
They will take on an 8 day challenge, completing the Paris Marathon ahead of a 6 day cycle route to London ahead of the London Marathon via Hull and the Jane Tomlinson Appeal’s home turf of Yorkshire.
It is 10 years since Jane Tomlinson, CBE, ran the London marathon for the first time, the first terminally ill breast cancer patient to complete it. With this April marking the 10th anniversary; the Tomlinson family & team, including Greg, have set themselves a truly ‘marathon’ endurance challenge.
Greg will be raising money for: -
· The Jane Tomlinson Appeal, who help children's and cancer charities across Yorkshire, the UK and the globe
· Kidz in Kampz, based in Holt Park in Leeds, who fund programs for children displaced by conflict in refugee camps on the Thai/ Burmese boarder
· The Leeds Rugby Foundation, based at Headingley stadium, who promote community participation and work to transform young peoples’ lives through the power of sport by fighting social inequality.

The Jane Tomlinson 10th Anniversary Challenge is complete! I'm very achy but it's been worth it to donate to these worthy causes! I am immensely grateful to the many people who have already made donations and to date I have raised almost £5000. It's still not too late to donate!

Since the launch of the Jane Tomlinson Appeal in 2002 we have been lucky to receive an incredible level of support from fundraisers and patrons alike. Over £4million has been raised and we are well on our way to reaching our new target of £5million by the end of our Anniversary year in April 2013.
