Hi-
Thanks for checking in!
I abseiled down the iconic Battersea Power Station in London on May 2nd, to raise funds for the Mines Advisory Group (MAG).
About MAG:
As part of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines, MAG was co-laureate of the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize.
A large percentage of ordnance fails to detonate as designed and poses an immediate threat to people trying to rebuild their lives in the aftermath of conflict.
As well as being involved in Explosive Ordnance Disposal of Mines, Unexploded Ordnance and Small Arms Light Weapons in post-conflict areas around the world, MAG responds to the varied needs of mine affected communities through Mine Risk Education and various monitoring and information-sharing programs.
(Countries where MAG operates include: Angola, Burundi, Cambodia, Chad, Cyprus, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of Congo, Kosovo, Laos, Lebanon, Rwanda, Somalia, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Zaire and Zambia).
