If I would have told one of my friends a year ago that I am going to run a marathon they would have laughed at me. Today however I have already commenced my training for the biggest sporting event of the year in London - Virgin London Marathon 2010. On 25th April I will be trying to achieve something I have never tried to, to overcome physical and mental barriers. There is certainly lots of training ahead for me.
More importantly, during the next 3 months I will be raising money for those who need it most. Hopefully with all your help I will collect as much as possible for sick children who are getting their chance to live a normal live at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. This institution provides world-class medical help to children from UK and all over the world since 1852 giving them hope for better future. YOU ALSO can make a difference to those precious lives simply through donating now.
Remember that every pound you decide to donate will be worth double as Morgan Stanley International Foundation, who collects money for the hospital, will match your donation if I only manage to raise my target of 1500 pounds. I hope that with all your good hearts we will be able to make a small difference and raise even more for this worthy cause. Please do not hesitate and help me make those children's lives a little bit better.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read these words and all your support. And please remember: cross your fingers for me on 25th April :)
Greg
