Our beautiful, healthy baby daughter, Esme Lara Harman, was born on the 1st of February, 2001. Three days later, she fell asleep in my arms after nursing and stopped breathing. We rang for an ambulance and tried to revive her. The medical team did all they could but she died on the 6th of February in hospital with massive brain damage. The cause of her death was found to be Sudden Infant Death Syndrome or 'cot death'.
The Esme Harman Fund has been set up in her memory and we will raise funds throughout our lifetime for the Foundation for the Study of Infant Death (FSID). Your donation, no matter how small, will help prevent other babies dying and keep Esme's memory alive. UK taxpayers: donate online for a 28% tax bonus to be added to each pound. Or send a cheque made payable to FSID, with the Fund's name on the back, to: The Esme Harman Fund/FSID Fundraising Artillery House 11-19 Artillery Row London SW1P 1RT Thank you all so much!
