My story

Hi,

Firstly, thank you for visiting my page. I like to set myself an annual target to train towards and choose a great charity to raise money for at the same time. This year I've chosen the YMCA England, with half of what I raise going towards the local Romford branch.

I chose the YMCA England because I am a firm believer that charity should start at home and in particular at grass roots levels. The YMCA does some great work in helping young people build themselves a better future; By helping them to help themselves it is cutting a culture of dependancy at the start and helping to give them a sense of self-pride.

I think this is a great charity and a great event that I am participating in, so if you can give what you can, then it would be greatly appreciated.
