My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Gwlad's latest JustGiving page  (Gwlad - Gwladrugby.com - is a Welsh rugby website).  Each Six Nations tournament and each Autumn International series sees a Gwlad fundraising rugby match - where the money raised is normally split between a chosen charity and Gwlad itself (towards the upkeep of the site, server costs etc.).

A great number of the site's users have been affected by cancer over the years and many have lost loved ones to the disease - Richard Parks is raising money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.  Richard is a former Welsh international rugby player who last year completed the 737 Challenge - the highest peaks on every continent and the North Pole and South Pole in under seven months - a world record.  The challenge he's yet to complete is to raise £1million for Marie Curie Cancer Care - which is where we come in.  We're unlikely to make up the shortfall but everything we can raise will help.  Therefore ALL the money raised on our JustGiving page will go to charity - i.e none of it goes to Gwlad itself.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
