A twenty five year old Marine Corps major adrift on a dying ship in the South Pacific... a former officer of the Dutch Light Brigade ( NATO ), miles and decades apart yet both have taught me to recognize service. But far more importantly, find a tangible way to express my gratitude. But how? Recently my comrades in the British Army Benevolent Fund America, (BABFA.org.) an organization devoted to assisting wounded vets of the US and the UK, have provided me with just such an opportunity. And you can join us. On the 25th of October in the Marine Corps Marathon we will be running and piping to raise funds for these wounded vets and their families. They have given so much of themselves. It's the least we can do.

Thanks, Tom Elliott
